If that sounds like a fair trade to you, there are a number of apps you can try. On the downside, compatibility with certain LG TVs may be an issue, bugs can crop up more easily with this method, and you’ll have to add yet another, slightly invasive app on your phone. It’s typically free (although some ads may be involved), it’s very quick, you don’t need any additional devices, and you can use the app to manage multiple types of media. This approach has its pros and cons, but it’s generally one of your best options. Use a third-party app to connect your iPhone to an LG TV How to update software on an LG smart TV.Let’s take a look at the most effective ways of linking your iPhone to your LG display. However, there are a few workarounds for this issue that can give you the desired outcome. Ordinarily, that means that you can’t use your iPhone to mirror or cast content from your phone to the larger LG TV screen. It's actual discussion, not just wannabes trumpeting YouTube cliff notes as though they were the experts on an issue. That's where this started, and thats where you'll find the most info. If anyone wants to better understand the possible risks, I'd recommend just following the C1 thread on AVSforum. You have this guy here who clearly has done absolutely nothing but watched a Vincent Teoh video (where Vincent clearly did no research of his own, since he got the thing about the speakers completely wrong) and now thinks he's the authority on the issue when literally almost every one of his points is either just plain wrong or misinformed. Post like this are why I hate this website. The only real question here is whether or not the G1 has extra heat removal abilities. The C1 and G1 models are rated with the same power consumption, and that has to account for C1's with the old panel. Most important feature of g1 is low electricity consumption of oled material and better heat removal Obviously that doesn't mean there's an actual difference (though I'm sure there is between the old panel and the G1 panel which is why reading about this on AVSforum is what anyone considering it needs to do) The CX and GX also had different T-Con labels. Your Tv DOES NOT HAVE SAME TCON AS G1 therefore difference WILL NOT BE SAME. Amp/wattage settings have their own sub-menu that is unaffected by the G1 change. The setting has no effect on the speakers at all. If you've been following the AVSforum thread where they figured this whole thing out, you'd have seen measurements by the guy who did it that show almost no difference at all in calibration.
